Superjedi's FPH2 for Takeshi O.

Hi all!
It's been a little bit, but I am starting another ESB helmet for a Facebook member. This is one of Wasted Fett's newly modified FPH2 kits. It now has a molded in MQ-1 board behind the keyslots. Less cutting during prep is a good thing.

I just received the kit yesterday and I'll begin the prep this weekend. Here are a couple of shots of the kit. There's a visor included too.

Quick update today.
I got all the prep done and washed the helmet to make sure there's no dust left. Also installed some small machine bolts in the ear parts.
Once the helmet is dry I'll be able to hit it with some primer.

Lol! Yup, pure rubbish.
I laid down a nice coat of primer earlier. It's a very nice neutral gray and will look great with all your bounty hunting gear.

Got the base color down on the rear panels. Once it dries overnight I'll be able to stencil and mask for the dark green.

Now there are 2 colors on the helmet!
I got the dark green on the rear panels. These pics show the untweaked shapes. I'll use a fine liner brush to refine the shapes and add the smaller details.

I got the shapes refined and added the finer detail on the left panel. Now it's ready for some gray and silver.

Got in the zone this morning and worked on the big scrape. Lots of detail packed into this area.

Today was very productive and I finished the right panel. Next I'll mask the panels off and shoot the base green for the dome and cheeks.

Got the base green on this morning.
This is a new green blend that i'm really happy with. It's pretty bright in my hobby room today so the color looks lighter in the pics than it does by eye. Once I start adding the damage, it will appear to shift darker. Not sure why that happens, lol.

I've started on the dome damage. As usual, I started at the back and I'm working my way around.
