I grew up in Chicago (town of Northbrook!) All I can say about the weather is that it's usually one extreme or the other. Either a blizzard or it feels like spring!
If I get some time off, I may be able to return.

As a matter of fact, I sure do! I grew up about 5 hours away from there and went to college in Ames where one fine winter we had 40 below temps. But ya see, when you have great friends like we do up there, it don't matter what the temp is! Besides, we try and stay inside as much as possible. Plus, there is always beer to keep ya warm

Here's one for the WGAF Files: STARSHIP TROOPERS 3 is on the way. Edward Neumeier, who wrote the previous two TROOPERS movies, has signed on to make his directorial debut on the third film. Considering the second film - codenamed HERO OF THE FEDERATION - went straight-to-video, don't expect other than a copy at your local Blockbuster. Casper Van Dien is also in talks to reprise his role. No word yet on whether Dina Meyer's breasts (NSFW, obvs) plan to make a cameo. Or whether Hot Gossip plans on singing their one-hit wonder "I Fell In Love With A Starship Trooper." Production on TROOPERS 3 is expected to begin shooting this March in South Africa. American public is expected to start not caring shortly thereafter.
