*SPOILERS* The Book of Boba Fett Discussion

More than likely it's just Din Djarin.
If he doesn’t bring in at least dengar and bossk by the end of this….. *grumble*

Yeah, i love mando as much as the next guy, but saying the din djarin that’s at the end of season 2… would go help overthrow a crime syndicate, to install a new crime syndicate….

I’d be very surprised if the writers do that… because itd be out of character for where he is at the end of season 2. But, considering how sloppy the writing of the first 3 episodes were, I actually wouldn’t be surprised.

Like… how black krrstang tears off an innocent person’s arm FOR NO REASON whatsoever… in a business ‘protected’ by bobs fett… with boba watching… and boba does nothing but offer the guy a job.

In real life… after boba does nothing to ‘protect’ the business that pays him tribute, while watching a customer mutilated in it…

Then word getting around how when the water monger, ANOTHER tribute paying business, went to him asking for help with a gang stealing the metchandise…. Boba again doesn’t do anything to protect the business ‘under his protection’, but tell the owner to lower his prices or get out of town…

Local businesses would most likely rather seek protection from one of the other local syndicates who actually HAVE the manpower to protect their businesses.

Crime lord boba had fennic and 2 pigs. His region was in chaos with street gangs stealing from merchants, he refused to ‘put the hurt on’ a gang that was stealing from people paying him for protection… then gets beaten up on his first walk through the neighborhood.

And the whole time, he walks around with his helmet off, trying to talk with people disrespecting and threatening him…

Not sure the writers have ever actually watched a show with crime in it before. Lol

Might as well say it... I made one of the reports when the "discussion" drifted into sexual insults. I haven't seen the show yet though what I hear makes me doubt I will enjoy it. I am furious with Disney for what they are doing not only to Boba but to Star Wars in general... But insulting actors is just a big NO. Especially when pairing it with sexual comments.

I mean... how can anyone who was part of this discussion seriously hope that anyone at Disney monitoring the fanbases responses reads this and goes "well that's a reasonable dialogue we should consider"... With such behaviour you are undermining this community and our voice.

Edit: I don't remember who posted it, but I certainly did not mistake a comment about an actors physique as a sexual comment. However the word "sexual" actually was IN the comment... so go figure...

Mate, maybe you need to watch the show first and then you might understand some peoples frustration. what they are doing with Boba is shocking, so many years of being a fan, they clearly don’t care, some fans are deverstated, and it’s us lot that have made the series a viable option in the first place. This is how we are repayed? It’s a business it’s done for money! I also think the “actor” has done Boba not one favour, so I think a certain amount of criticism will be forthcoming and that’s clearly not just here. A show about Boba and Fennec is completely over shadowing him.

I get all offended with reviews that think this show is brilliant, as a show yes, it’s probably a good watch, as a fan, it’s been nothing but disappointment. This last episode was a step in the right direction, thanks to his ship that is.

I don’t remember any sexual insults. The only “physical” comments I can recall are ones made about appearance and If you’ve classed what we said about Temuera’s physique being on the chunky side as “sexual” then…wow.

I agree, what people are offended by is bizarre, Facts sometimes are just what they are facts. Anyway there is enough of it going on in the workplace never-lone discuss it in someone’s free time.

To a little cat droid being dangled by his neck “Do you know who I am - I’m Boba Fett”

Who the hell thought of that line?

Worse for me was the frantic chase of said cat droid.

“Where’d ya go!?” And finished off with “quick little bugger.”

Bugger. BUGGER!? The most feared bounty Hunter of all time says bugger? Just waiting for the super special ultimate edition of the original trilogy now with update Boba Fett dialogue.

“Put Captain Solo in the cargo hold…ya little bugger”

“He’s no buggerin’ good to me dead!”

“No disintegrations!”
“Oh bugger.”

Haaaaaaard cringe

LOL, don't forget it was first used with the Nose Lizard "tricky little Bugger"

"The bugger is no good to me dead" I suspect "whoops a daisies" to be used in next episode.

Sucks - Boba is now a pussy even Fennec said so!

I'm hanging on to the "I'm not" reply!

Lol ... im laughing here as anyone from the UK will tell you that Bugger! .. is not as inoffensive a word as it seems, and IS an unusual choice of dialogue for a hero character to use . .. might as well call him a 'tricky little Berk!' lol.

Well…

I’m also from the U.K and I suppose ‘bugger’ could be offensive if you consider what it actually means.

As for berk, you know it’s originally from Cockney rhyming slang right? As in - ‘Berkshire hunt.’

I’ll leave it for you to work out which four letter word it rhymes with!

Agreed with all of this dude!

Boba's on a whim decision to suddenly become the crime lord in place of Jabba on a planet he really has no other connections too makes no sense. He says he's tired of risking his life to go on hunts that could have been avoided in the first place. Fennec is right, if everything was perfect like that - Boba and his father Jango would have literally Never had a job.

How is Boba this naive as a grown adult who was supposed to be the galaxies most feared bounty hunter?! Why would it matter if being a bounty hunter is dangerous? lol Fennec is also right when she says he became weak. Bobas response that the tuskens made him strong falls pretty flat - this show has relatively well documented that his desire to create a literal "family" has caused him to get wrecked so far at pretty much every turn.

Also - do you think we'll find out why Boba has such a grudge against Bib? It's been mentioned that Bib betrayed him, which is why he killed him, but they still haven't mentioned what or how. That's some pretty heavy motivation to kill Bib that has so far been left unanswered

They're obviously sprinkling a little backstory and motivation in each episode, and while I recognize this as a creative decision, I find it to be a bad choice for this story. There are few characters that have such preconceived notions as Fett. I'm sure we'll learn why he took Bib out, more about why he wants a crime family e.t.c. But to build his motivations out over the entire season means we the audience (with our preconceived notions) spend 6 episodes completely confused by his actions and choices, only at the end to be like "ohhhh, now I get it!".

That's not a great formula for a TV show, each episode needs to stand on it's own merits for rewatch ability reasons for ratings e.t.c. Up until now, most shows were planet/creature/adventure of the week, with only recent years featuring more arc based storytelling. But even these modern shows spend a lot of time making you care about the characters and story so that each episode works. BoBF seems to be lacking this, granted it was always going to be a tough sell, but still.

Episodes 2 and 4 were okay IMO, and I'm sure we'll get at least another couple of good episodes before the end, but the framework of this series is problematic and unfortunately I don't think it will ever resonate with audiences the way mando did.

I mean..... it was pretty bad. The latest episode was the least bad....
I did like Slave 1 blasting all the bikers, even though they carried on going in a perfect straight line even when the deadly gunship was reigning blaster fire down on them?

BK was good as well, Garda Fwip was extremely fit!
