*SPOILERS* The Book of Boba Fett Discussion

But what "Fans" are you speaking of? The hardcore fans of a bit part character in a 40 year old movie isn't really much of a demographic to cater to. Those of us here have taken Boba to an unhealthy level of obsession for years now, but I don't think there are enough of us to make a show like that financially practical.

I also get that. but there are more Fett fans than we give credit for.

When you think about the whole Star Wars concept is built around bad parenting, and the real hero's are the droids, R2 for example saves the day all the time! Kids are harder to please these days as well, when I first saw Star Wars in the "flea pit" it was like WTF ! now its just - Meh its hard to get that WOW factor!

Jai Jai was just a character for 5 year olds, bit like the Ewoks, and when you look at it even adverts has to have a stupid mascots doing silly things. Its sells.

I will never change my opinion of Disney. I am to old for this company, I should have known better "OMG look there's a bloody 6ft mouse over there" they Just turn every Good and that's fine, but I do not think it works in this situation with Boba if you have known the character since his entrance.

I will still watch and hope!

I really don't think the number of subscribers alienated is all that high. Sure there are a few hundred people complaining online about it, but is that really enough to turn the ship that is Disney?

Most of my friends that like Star Wars but aren't as intense about as we are here have been enjoying it. There have been moments that are cringeworthy, but overall it's been fun.

Personally: I'm 46 years old. I've been a Star Wars fan since I was a kid. Over the years I've dropped tens of thousands of dollars on Boba Fett related stuff. I get excited to watch it every week, and I am collecting parts to make the costume from it. In fact, the Book of Boba costume is my favorite Boba look -- I like his costume more than any of the OT revisions.

This reminds me of people complaining about Galactic Starcruiser: People saying the dropped the ball, they screwed up, etc... but people are still spending money on it :)
Yea you’re probably right that the number of ‘alienated fans’ isn’t as high as I’m assuming and even if it was - no, it would never be enough to turn the ship. They’ll never admit they did anything wrong, just look at the sequels, they ended up blaming the fans themselves.

What’s galactic star cruiser?

Here....and don't get me started on Tem always introducing himself ...I am B...F... We know, stop taking off the helmet and the locals will definitely KNOW [Again, this is just one small fix in a whole shebang of needed fixes].

Its strange if the helmet was left on, it would make a whole world of difference to me. If I was asked for one change in the series that would be it.

Such a minor detail that would drive the biggest of improvements.

While we’re on the subject of him telling everyone who he is…

How is it that everyone knows who Boba Fett is, and yet Mando had no clue despite being a devout (to a fault) Mandalorian? I know technically Boba isn’t/wasn’t a Mandalorian but you’d think being a pretty prolific bounty Hunter himself, Mando would’ve at least heard the name before?

I think that’s what bugs me the most about it is the sheer level of inconsistencies, plot holes, and just sloppiness.

Starcruiser is Disney’s ultra expensive Star Wars themed hotel / space cruise. For the low staring price of $5000 you can spend 2 days on a sequel trilogy themed space role play adventure.

People are saying a lot of the same stuff about that as has been said in this thread about the show. But it’s still selling! (I have a trip booked may 4)

Will likely just be a short, and it's going to take a while, but it seems George Molho is at least going to try his hand at giving the fans what they really wanted...

Watch from around 12:50 for an insight into his project, or just watch the whole thing if you're interested in his reviews of the series so far.

After seeing the part where it’s a clip of Tam being interviewed, and HE’S saying “and i was telling them, this is too much dialogue, I shouldn’t be talking this much, have fennic say this paragraph… Boba should be mysterious and have his helmet on more… and talking less”
But that they wouldn’t listen to him…
Whoa

So that guy is going to create an entire Boba Fett movie with a giant budget and then release it for free as a fan film to spite Disney? I dig it lol

Also I do find it humorous that one if the main take aways from the sequel was rich people/corporate greed and how the Rebels are in part fighting to topple that regime of greed and power mongering and then they create a hotel that's gaudy and expensive which isnexactly opposed to the ideals portrayed in their own movie lolol

Didn’t they spend about 5 weird and out of place minutes on this in TLJ? The Canto Bight stuff with Finn & Rose.

I would love to see footage from one of these starcruiser hotels though, just to see how it measures up to the concept drawings of having dinner in essentially Mos Eisley Cantina. Let’s be honest, you can get the same experience at an all inclusive buffet in Tenerife for £300. I’ve definitely seen some people who look like they’ve just come off the cantina set!

If you’re ever in los angeles, there’s actually astar wars themed bar, called ‘the scum and villainy cantina”. They even encourage people to go in costume. I I was going to go there for my bday in 2020… but, bleepin’ covid shut everything down. Still, it’s a really cool looking place if you want to look it up online

Man,. I had no idea about that place! Thank you for posting this.

I really enjoyed episode 4, I liked the connection between Fett and Shand and I really liked the connection with the Mandalorian. For me it's back on track :)

It's definitely better but however good it gets, for me it's still marred by the first 3. I'm excited at the prospect of Din appearing in the next episode but more than that, I'm extremely nervous! God knows what these writers are going to do with him.

Yeah I can see where you're coming from. I hope it'll be satisfying for more people and that it will be enjoyable for you aswell :)

I can't wait for next week but I guess that's obvious by now XD

Is anyone building a new Boba Fett?
I'm taking elements of it. I changed my belt to the BOBF style and added the new side lights to my jetpack as well as took some of the wear marks for his armor and helmet but mostly my suit is still like what he had on Mandalorian.

Only one writer on this show so far and he was praised to high heaven for his work on Din's show, so maybe having that character will give this show an infusion that will make a lot of fans feel better about the direction Boba is going.
