Thanks for the comments guys it really came out much better than i thought it would, I really should thank Rafal fett again without his templates it wouldn't be as good as it is,
and of course Fettpride
I thought i'd also post some pics of my scratch built EE3.
I was going to give it its own thread but as i haven't alot of interest in this paint up i kind of feel i'll keep things simple and just do it here.
Ok the helmet was amazing, excellent work brother hats off to you but then you hit us right in the gut with "oh by the way, here’s my scratch built EE3" just something I did sometime back - are you kidding me man? That is an incredible scratch built EE3, one of the best I have ever seen. Your work is inspirational, you my friend are scarily talented and I want to be like you when I grow up!
Thanks for the kind words guys,
the EE3 really was a pleasure to make and i think the paint job I did sells it more than anything else. The paint job is the first and last thing you notice as far as i am concerned every time (check out my scratch built pit droid on the rpf under spacebobs droids to see what i mean, without the convincing grubby paint job you would see the wood grain and plywood layers easily)
Making blasters is more forgiving than making a mask or helmet as those are faces to us really and we all can tell if something is off even just a little, even if we cant put our finger on what it is.
that's why i needed the fph2, I think its perfect.
Thanks guys,
I painted my dp 95 in 1997, I think but that was it until I started painting again from 2007. Usually i can paint something how i want, thats why my cody is blue white not orange. This is different I haven't painted anything this complex ever before, and its got to be right to the movie. Different discipline.
And I think I will post more stuff as i still have two more lids to paint, a gmh and this other one i think is a mr cast. not sure what to do with them now.
I wanted one to be a supertrooper but that would only take a day. Seems a waste.
Cheers again guys,
I was wondering how would one indeed go pro?
(what different versions of pro are there anyway)
If somebody knew which prop company was working on star wars 7 that would be the info,
they are filming about an hour away from here.

Ok thanks for the input animefan, not a big fan of the Rotj helmet though, might go pp2 and weathered supertrooper (I don't think that will be popular )

You could do helmet painting commissions for members here, your helmet turned out as good as many of the ones i've seen on TDH by expert painters, anyway sneak your way on to that movie set and tell us what's goin on
