I had a nice surprise in the mail today, my RS metal ears arrived. They‘re beautiful, but there was no rangefinder topper parts included. I was under the impression that was included with the ears?

Supposed to.
Says so on their site.

“Set comprises of the following components:

Left Single Ear with accurate fixings

Right Lower Ear with accurate fixings

Right Upper Inner Ear with accurate fixings

Right Upper Outer Ear Cap with accurate fixings

Brass Axel Screw

Hollow Range Finder Stalk with accurate topper fixings”

Rangefinder topper not included.

“Topper fixings” means screws.

My mistake then, though it is slightly misleading as the pictures they show has the rangefinder attached, and it only states that the helmet casting is not included. I guess you only get one if you order the whole kit.

Seems to be missing a good amount of SE/ESB details.

I have to be honest I don’t get the appeal with these guys anymore.

1. You can’t really buy much from them (especially re: Fett)
2. When you can it takes forever
3. Then they deliver this?

I would’ve thrown my wallet at them for a full Fett commission a year ago. I guess I’m lucky they gave up on doing that. Not sure why one would buy from them when you can work with folks right here.

Also seems like there's been more than one helmet that's missing details. Also, the blue sharpie won't be making their way on any of these helmets it seems.

I can do without the blue sharpie, but I'm more into owning the "helmet" than the "prop," if that makes sense. But I do expect the white smudge. I guess I'm inconsistent.
