This is the first project I've attempted, your feedback would be welcome.
I managed to get a solid rubber barrel from StormRider (this was a second - as it had a few bubbles and didn't line-up perfectly), he also sent me a scope, butt and trigger etc, to complete the ROTJ EE3

It needed a fair bit of work, rubbing down and filling etc..... still ongoing. See pics

What type of filler did you use on this? Did it have decent adhesion to the rubber?

What type of filler did you use on this? Did it have decent adhesion to the rubber?

I used wood filler, and it didn't really adhere to the rubber very well, Then I tried flexible polyfilla, but that doesn't rub down too well. so I just kept persevering with the wood filler and some of it seems to stick ok, then I primered and sprayed it, then added more filler which helped. Hope that makes sense.

Latest pic. Still a bit more to do! I'm going for a Tattoine/Sarlacc vibe with the base.
