DUDE. don't you have a baby to be feeding or poopy diapers to change??? LOL jkjk i need to reformat my SD card again. DERP. i tried adding Fett's Vette to the MP3 player and it effed up some of the sound banks because i messed up the sound balancing blah blah blah. i may need you to walk me through reformatting the thing to get the other thing to do the thing thing.

I have changed too many diapers today already, so I don't want to hear it. Hit me up if you need any help with the SD stuff. I need to get around to reinstalling my trigger switch. It's only been 4 months, lol.

Do you have more info on the shrouds used for the scope mounts to barrel mounts. I'm trying to accumulate reference photos for why there are different versions

This was the solid casting I had from years back and a prototype in aluminum I made


Trying to figure out what is actually correct. All the screen captures from the movie are blurry

That's the best picture I have to make me think the low profile version is probably more accurate. But I'm not sure if they have holes on the side. One some screen grabs I thought I saw light coming through suggesting holes but in this one not so much

This is zoomed in even more. Looks like there could indeed be two holes although they may just be spot faced or lightly counterbored

The link to the trigger switch you used is dead. Do you have a part number for that? I just ordered a trigger and I have no idea how I am going to get the trigger to work without a spring. Attaching the trigger directly to the switch would be perfect!

A couple questions;
1) what did you use to connect (via hinge) the barrel to the trigger part?
2) the breach lock seems to slide down along grooves next to the trigger, however the tip of the hammer prevents it from sliding more than like 1/2 inch or so. Should I cut a slot in the breach lock to allow clearance for the hammer?
3) from the kit, there are a couple cylinder-shaped pieces attached to both the scope mounts and the barrel mounts. I assume those are removed, but then there is a gap between the outer sides of the scope mount and the front/back of the barrel mounts. I could just use some 2 part epoxy to attach them together, but I was wondering if there was a best-practice here.

Hey Robert! ok so to answer your questions...
1. I used a 1" Tension pin
2. the breach lock should move up and down freely. if you look at post #7, you can see where I have dremmeled out the hole to allow the piece to glide freely without contacting the hammer. to make it even easier though, I ended up shaving off the tip of the hammer completely.
3. correct, the cylinders are remnants of the casting process. simply grind them off. what i do with my kits after that has been cleaned up, i drill a hole in the top of the barrel mounts, install cup point set screws, drill another hole through the scope rings and with a little help from a friend (aka CA glue) pop the scope rings into place on the barrel mounts. its all so much easier when you have a scope with accurate feet though LOL i'll shoot you some pictures this evening.
