Thank you for the kind words. The end result was well worth the time & effort I put into it.

That looks incredible, i cant believe that this was scratch made. I see you put " first attempt" i call dibs on this one when you make the second one, lol. Seriously great work!!

Thanks, makes me feel good to hear the compliments. I put a lot of thought into making this cause I wanted it to look authentic. I am my own worst critic and there are things that I would like to improve. Plus I have been mulling over possibly making a budget kit of this if I can come up with a good way to make things & if there would be any interest. You can say things are always a work in progress.

I am also thinking about doing a ESB version. Cause I will need a new challenge.

Glad to hear there is some interest. It may be a little ways off before I come up with something because my goal right now is to complete my ROTJ Boba costume. Definitely thinking about it.

Wow. Fantastic work!!! I've bee thinking about using .060 card for blasters and other things, thanks to WoF and Antman's helmet templates and build... Yours put things over the top and I think I'm gonna raid my local arts store for the rest of their card!!!

And if you ever get round to templates or such, I'd definitely be interested!!!

Lots of ideas and ambition, growing skills...
Learning the ropes and trying to apply things as I learn...

I still can't believe that you made this out of a pep file, my attempt at the stock alone was a complete Fail! lol... this amazes me every time i see it, great job

Thanks for the kind words guys.

MrDickJones, sorry to hear that you couldn't make the stock work. Have you done any pep builds prior this?

The way I constructed mine was I used the card stock as a shell & then glued architectural cardboard onto the inside of the card stock. This created a shell. I then cut piece of the card board & layered the inside creating 2 solid halves. I filled in the areas in the radius with smooth cast to tie it all together. I didn't take any pics of this. You can see some of what I did on the side with the recess for the stock attachment with the layer cardboard. When glued together it got a coat of smooth cast on the outside. Hope this is some help to you if you want to give it another go.

I am fairly new to pepakura. The stock printed out great and assembled perfect! I fiberglassed the inside of the two halves, but dispite having a good mix ratio, the resin never fully cured and ended in failure..
When it gets warm again, another attempt may be made...... As u may know, it is very hard to be fully satisfyed with a "complete build". :)

Amazing job! I have began construction on my own scratch build and this is very inspiring.

Thank you for the kind words. There are many great references & study the photos. If I can be of any help let me know.

There is definitely a learning curve to pepakura. I have had similar issues with the resin not setting up at times & not sure why. But over all I am rather impressed with smooth cast products. Glad to hear you are going to give it another go.
