Hey, sorry folks I had no idea. Let me get this helmet in and I'll try and test it out. It's just I get so much grief for these colors it's very hard for me to let this stuff out and avoid the criticisms I stand by my research 100% but I can never say the colors are 100%...99.9% maybe.
Right now it appears German Field Gray is a good one. I like it. Myself and Tyler Durden ran some color color swatches over some photos and it's looking pretty darn good. Just make sure you get enamels.
Nope, Lee. They have a color called Med Green, but it's not the same. I got duped by the name four years ago when repainting my armor. It has a lot of yellow in it, perfect for a Ninja Turtle. I dulled it down with a lot of black wash. I should just get a bottle of Polly Scale and try and match it to the closest enamel.
Polly Scale US Med Green is numbered A/N 612
Testors Med Green is FS 34102
I've got some pics of suits I did with that color and one of it next to the AOSW suit I'll post those as soon as I get them lined up here. I agree there may be variances and the polly s version is prob best alternative.

Hi Lee, I asked a few years back (yes years ) but I don;t think it was ever properly answered. Is the ESB armor the same color as the Helmet? In the movie caps and production stills, it looks like it is. In some scenes, it appears to be the olive tone of the dome, yet in the Bespin toture chamber foyer, it looks like the medium green. Then in the while hallways, it's looking olive again. what's going on here? Do you know, or does anyone else know for certain whether the ESB armor color is the same medium green as ROTJ? Thanks
These days I think most of us are using floquil/pollyscale US med green for the ESB armour, which is the same color Lee recomends for the ROTJ armour. We still don't know for shure, but Dm used US med green on JB's armour, and it looked great. I have used it on mine as well since then, and I like it.
