11/8 - here’s some updates on my gauntlets! Really love how the color turned out on these. Still have to do some more detailing but here’s where we are so far!

Not sure how I didn't catch that one. Agreed though, an LED would take it up a notch. Using this $5.00 Etsy product: Battery LED Light w/ on off switch | Etsy
....and some Hot Glue I was able to produce this....

I did a similar thing as Irongladiator, but I incorporated the switch on the gauntlet as my on/off switch.

Nice on the Ammo Belt! I almost bought one from the Hand Made Horror Shop as well. But for me, I found that the Delta Leather Works pieces not only looked great but was also favored by many Fett's here. A bit more pricey for sure but since I'm not doing 501st.....I thought.....why not? But let it be known that Delta Leather Works Belts CAN get you in the 501st just not at the Level II Certification - being that his are made out of leather. But by going with Hand Made Horror Shop and it being made out of vinyl, you get the immediate benefit of being setup for the optional "Level II" for the 501st certification that says:
Kind of a moot point as I know you're NOT going for 501st. Oh one other thing, I'm not sure if your a stickler or not for the details, but your pouches need to be flipped.
You can see that in the below picture that the 6 eyelets get put on from the right side (Not left hand side)
But again, well done on the purchase, lookin' good!

Thank you! Yeah I’ve read that Delta Leather Works is more of the go-to but it’s a tad pricey for me. I’m trying to stay in sort of a budget which has been very hard LOL but I’m pretty happy with the belt I got! Pouches have been flipped, thanks for the heads up! I’m working on dying/weathering the hip pouches now since I have the belt.mjwierzb

Yes I didn’t use dye! I’m trying something else, I’ll share the results and method if it works out well LOL

I ended up using Starbucks Pike Place Roast. I bought a “Traveler” of the stuff and left it in the bath for about 4 hours. It darkened up nicely for me. Also used the same bath for my 3 gauntlet hoses too!

11/11 - ok, here’s the results from my “dyeing” process. The left pouch was weathered with black acrylic paint using the spray bottle method I shared before. The right pouch was “dyed” using the same spray bottle method but I used cement dye. I took me a few sprays and washes to get it that color but I’m pretty pleased with the way it came out.

11/26 - hey everyone! Sorry it’s been awhile since the last post! Ive taking a break from the process for a little but I’m back on it! I drilled a hole into my gauntlet to put in the LED. I will be getting the other parts needed to actually make it light up soon. Also, some exciting new came this week as my new armor should be shipped out next week! I ordered a kit from MinuteFett and I’m very excited to get that in. Hope you all are doing well and staying safe. Happy thanksgiving!
