Hi all! Needing a helmet to wear for this weekend, I decided I wouldn't be able to do a full Boba Fett helmet due to the time crunch. Although I don't have one of my helmets ready just yet, (yikes!) I found one of the Johnston sketches to emulate, and I wondered if the knowledgeable folks here had any opinions/thoughts on how to best interpret the design.
(I did see SuperJedi's 'Eyeball' Helmet, it was what inspired me to do this one.)

At first I thought the two designs shared the same helmet, but upon closer examination that doesn't appear to be the case. Unless the red stripe ends, which is an asymmetrical idea I like. Although the black icon seems out of place then. I may try combining them that way, unless anyone has any input.
So I began this by creating some stencils of the purple/maroon icon on the left side of the helmet (on top of the red stripe) and came up with two slightly different versions, plus a slightly mixed version:

While I sort of like the first one better, the second (cleaner!) is more accurate, in my opinion, to the concept. The third is the same as the second, but has the diamond (mouth) part on the bottom swapped. I could also do further mixing and matching.
(by the way, if anyone would like to use these for their own project they are free to do so, just give me credit.)
Any thoughts?
