A lot of you have spent long hours, days, weeks, and months committing yourselves to your hobby, your passion, your obsession, your costumes and characters, which you enjoy sharing with others. Well, I want to share my hobby, passion, and obsession with you as well.
This is Lego Coruscant. I spent much time, many hours at time, working on it over the course of years, adding to it from time to time and expanding it. I had the city for 10 years until I had to disassemble it at the end of 2009 and put it into storage because I had to move--which broke my heart to a degree.
It is 3.5 feet wide and 8 feet long, and many of the spires are over 2 feet tall, with the scale being one foot = one mile. The tallest spire, the big fat blue one in the back corner on the right side, is 3 foot 2 inches high. The entire city consists of between 33,000 and 34,000 pieces of Lego.
Many of the spires and smaller structures were inspired by some of the actual buildings seen in the prequels, but most of the buildings are actually my own designs.
