Fettronics LED board USB compatible?

I acquired an ESB Boba Fett recently and the previous owner had a Fettronics Chest LED Display wired to 3AAA batteries. I wanted to know what the voltage rating was for the Fettronics led board and if anyone had wired a simple USB plug to it and run that to a USB bank.

I wanted to streamline the types of batteries I bring with my kits. BUT it would be good to verify first here before I go and potentially fry the display.

I did reach out to Fettronics via email and know they did close shop earlier this year, but I thought it was worth the effort to hear it from the marker themselves.

I asked a few years ago and the answer was no, it's not made to accept different voltages.

Thank you for the response. I got a response from the builder and he said the same thing. It will work with 5v but it can be tricky to get to work and can actually fry everything if wired wrong. AAA is the best bet. Thanks again!
