I do this because the paint job on my helmet is amazing, and I really don't want to get rid of it. There are also a few other Fetts on here who troop like this (I would prefer not to name them.) So, IMHO ... and :jet pack are OK together!
Glad to hear this. I was afraid to even ask this question as I figured the well-informed purists would pronounce me an idiot Noobie and restrict my access to TDH! I bought the ESB helmet for the sheer beauty of the detail from a California props industry guy, but wanted the red gauntlets and multi-colored jet pack of the ROTJ version.
So what's the ruling if you decide you like Galactic Bounty Hunter's fantastic ESB gloves to go with your ROTJ SE outfit?

The way I look at it...Its your outfit...Its what you like. I know there are some people that might point out differences to you, but I don't think anybody here will openly chastise you for it. Its not the RPF after all.
If you are looking for 501st acceptance it may not fly, but to each their own.
BTW to anybody...Are there really any major differences between ESB and ROTJ gloves? Is it just color?

GBH's gloves look absolutely amazing ... I can't wait to receive mine. However, I strongly would encourage you NOT to mix the components from each Fett version ... you'll ruin the look of the costume by doing that.
If you ask me, a good reason is because the thread is almost EXACTLY a year old. First post was the same month, and almost the same day ... very easy to get sucked into this one!:angry

In the end, do what you want. Its your costume, your effort, money, time, etc... You should look the way you're happy looking.
For me, I went with the RoTJ Special Edition version simply because I loved the look of it. It was the look in the museum exhibit, it was the look used in all the promotional materials that were around when I started the suit and it combined the best helmet with the best suit. A win, win.

ROTJ armor (with working ESB chest display :confused)

A mishmosh to be sure, but WTH, ya know? 501st quality? nope... Average Joe , "Hey, aren't you the bounty hunter from Star Wars?" recognizability? absolutely....
