Droidbait's Jango Build

I'm still learning how to use paints and stuff like that. So I am bound to have lots of errors. I added to much gloss black and got really bad orange peel. So I had to wet sand it again. I need to watch some videos on how to apply gloss black. Also re-read my Volpin Props and Punished Props painting books. Here is how my pack looks now. I used the remaining satin black paint that I had left. Looks good so far, some tiny imperfections all over the pack but not noticeable unless you really look close at it.

Three blisters later I removed the boot soles off my Kenneth Cole Kilamanjaro boots. Also removed the Crow Props boot sole. It was so hard to remove and I ended up ripping the sole in half. Oops! Now to wait and see if the upper will fit when its dry. I hope I didnt ruin that boot. If that doesn't fit that is. Haha. Worst case scenario I messed up boot. If this doesn't work out I might send the soles to Gio and see if he can add an upper for me. Maybe next year if this Pandemic subsides and we go back to somewhat normality.
Stay safe everyone~

I might have made a oopsie poopsie. I didnt see that these boots where size 9.5s and my Kenneth Coles are size 9. I ordered size 9s from Gio. So lame. XD
At least only one messed up..

I'm going to make a mold of my soles for future use. Before I send them to Gio, whenever I do that is.

I can't believe the jetpack burnt me out from my Jango build. Krylon has defeated me. I tried two different cans of the same color and still get this terrible orange peel on my pack. I have stripped the color 3 times already. Wet sanded with various grits. (Frustration over 9000.) Anyways this what I have so far on it. It looks good in pictures. (IRL not so much.)

This is the problem I had three times already.

Tricks I use

1 prime then wait 4 days
2 paint can heat up for ten min in very hot water in a bucket
3 don't shake can stir can in circles with ball rolling at bottom of can
4 paint with slow even strokes
5 don't hold can at a angle
I use a lazy Susan from Home Depot with a 24 inch round platter also at Home Depot
Hope this helps
