2nd Gauntlet Light???

So us ESB guys have seen these reference pictures time and time again I'm sure but I have scoured the boards and cannot find anything addressing this so I figured I would ask the boards. We all know about the mini light in the right gauntlet, but what the heck is the light coming out of the front of the whipcord housing? For the life of me i cannot see how this is a reflection of any sort given the angle of the gauntlet at the time of the shot and how apparent the look of 2 bulbs seem to shine from inside the housing.

And a close up...

And from another angle where it looks like the inside of the whipcord housing is lit up...

Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

I'm sure RafalFett will be on the scent soon, as will many other ESB'ers. That is quite a surprise, I'm sure some sort of light is in there.

Can't believe I never noticed that before. Hiding in plain sight all this time.
Right??? And all this time I thought I was done with the electronics on this build, NEWP. lol

I sent Raf a message a bit ago, I'm sure he will chime in with some good info as usual

I don't think they are lights. If you watch the supertrooper footage you can hear close to the end them say that there is a copper piece there. I would assume the ESB gauntlets would be the same. I don't know if the whole side piece is a found item that was made of copper or if they put a piece of copper in there. I think we are seeing light reflection off of it in these pics though.

well there it is, although more lights would be pretty sweet for the kids, just watched the supertrooper footage and you're right. Even though it looks pretty bright and the angle doesn't really support the idea of a reflection (but who really knows where the lighting is in those shots), the whipcord housing is essentially the same from ST to ESB so I would have to agree with FF. Sorry Lou, didnt mean to get your hopes up.

Well, off to the hardware store from some copper LOL

Still, I'm still not opposed to the thought of the copper piece being a sort of placeholder for what eventually became lights in the housing, like the SW towel used in place of the cape..... just sayin.

That's my thought on it, odds are they did away with pointless copper and added a pointless yet attractive light! And from those photos, I don't see how that sort of reflection could be achieved from pieces INSIDE of the housing. The light would need to be hitting it directly from an angle behind the copper to project it forward like that. I'm on the side of two lights, possibly those micro lights that were in the old RF blocks

made it to Hobby Lobby this past weekend. Picked up a nice shiny copper sheet and voilà! Behold! The second gauntlet light!!! LMAO Thanks FF and Raf for steering me in the right direction for this small but pretty sweet little detail :-)
