Gotta love that screen accuracy.
If I had the time/money/obsessive compulsive disorder, I'd be right there with you accuracy fettishists (pun intended).
As it is, it still makes a great spectator sport and gives enthusiasm to those of us who just want to make a costume that won't be laughed at. Gives us all something to aspire to
Like someone else mentioned in a seperate thread, the bar has been raised.
On an accuracy point (and I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong) the stitches appear to be "leaning" in the original. There's probably a technical sewing term for it, but in the faux stitches you've put on, SC, they're straight up and down.
Difficult to explain, but it's like this:

Pic 60 in the ref CD shows it pretty well

Not criticizing (as I am in no position to criticize the great talent around these parts!
), it's just that I've just hand stitched a load of my own ammo pouches and couldn't put my finger on why they didn't look quite right and then it struck me; leaning stitches! Had to find out AFTER I'd stitched 7 of my 9 pouch lids! :facepalm
Does anyone else see it, or do I need glasses? :wacko
