What kind of tape on the Pulce?

Do we know what kind of tape is used on the barrel of the Pulce? Is it Mylar that's been painted over? Haven't seen this discussed yet, but please forgive me if my searching wasn't effective.

I just used 1/2” aluminum tape that has a sticky back. Then I buff it down using fine steel wool to dull it down a bit.
