Wasted Fett Fugly ESB Helmet Paintup

Good evening

In this thread, I am going to document my WF fugly ESB helmet paintup. It's a wonderful ESB kit, and to do it justice, I'll be using Archive-X colors on this piece.

I don't have a deadline to finish it, but I am going to use the current situation as best as I can.

For now, here are a few pictures of the assembled kit. The visor is attached with a combination of chicago screws and a few other components to make sure that it sits as flush as possible.

Finally had the time to finish prep work and get some primer on it. I'm undecided about whether I'll use my Model Master custom mixes or Archive-X enamels. I've tried working with enamels before but it wasn't fun at all. I tend more towards the ease of use of acrylics at this point.

Thank you! The visor is not aligned properly in these pictures, which is why it sticks out a little at the bottom.

I opted for a very thin visor from Ople Props that I got to sit very tightly to the visor cutout. Though it took me a good while to sand the visor cutout back on the inside!
