I'm new to the board and I'm sure this question has been asked a million times.
But what material seems to be the most popular with the vest?
I've heard tackle twill and vinyl.
How much padding is being used behind the material?

Yeah you won't find to much of the official TDH approved material around, if at all.

I can get the material for you guys if you want but I have to order at least 20 yards from my distributor. This is the tackle twill comes in various colors.Ill check on the price.

Also just wanted to add that if I get it doesnt mean you have to have me do the vest..I would be happy to do them if you wanted but if youds rather get the material and do it your self or send it to someone else then thats cool by me-Jason

Hey SG can you start a list of people and how many yards they want? That way when we get interest up to 20 yards we can get some ordered? Just wanted to check and see, I have some material that I picked up from the Cargo Hold but I would like to get my grubby little fingers on some more.

yeah that would be a good idea it takes roughly 2 1/2 yards to do and average size vest I would suggest 3 yards and probably would have enough to do a neck seal.I can get the coated or uncoated which i think the uncoated would wear better and be easier to sew..
I aslo will post a price probaly monday as I havent heard back from my supplier yet on the price per yard. its wholesale though and not retail but I do know its pricey...

Not sure if I understand ...You dont need to order 20 yards we just as a cumulative need to order 20 yards ..you actually only need about 3 yards to do a vest and may have a little left over for a neck seal....I will only charge what it costs me Im not going to add anything on top of that other than shipping to you.

hey chalk me up if its a reasonable price. I will sit on it until I have enough cash to get batninja to do the job.3 yards with the neck seal? . Batninja get your sewing machine ready. I know you have the experience to do a great job.

Batninja does'ent do neckseals, TK409 does though. Also I've had a Batninja vest and a SGB and there BOTH good. I went with the Batninja vest because he was making them fromTDH material.

I assume this material works for both ESB and ROTJ vests? If so, I might be interested in 4 yards depending on price.

Ok a couple things I pmed bobafettish to see if he got the coated or un-coated stuff originally and havent heard back from him yet.If it is the un coated stuff the price is 7.50 a yard wholesale.But I want to wait and see if its the coated stuff before I order it...the coated stuff is a bit more and ill call to see the difference.
