Velcro question...

I'm not going to start the 'What's better, snaps or velcro' thread again... What I am after is something simple, and makes me look stupid:confused

When you add the velcro on your vest, which side do you add? The hook side or the soft side?

I like to add the hooks facing out. my reasoning for this is that the hooks are sewn in place and won't move. therefore it won't accidentally pull or loosen thread on your vest/ jumpsuit while putting it on and off.

I was just thinking that when the vest gets packed up for a troop, I didn't want the hooks snagging into the vest...
