Ammo Belt Tutorial : Ammo Belts V2 (with RafalFett templates)

This is great! i will be returning to this as I create my ammo belt, thanks for putting this all in one easy place...

THANKS!
Thanks sprof !
Hello everybody
I'm back after a long time. I 've spent time on other projects but now i 'll try to continue this thread.
I'm going to post final PP1 belt soon.

I'm sure this is know as well but Isn't the SE belt made with white leather (white vinyl?) then painted brown?

Hi,
you're right on the white vinyl.
It's a choice you have to do. If the purpose is to troop with, i think it's better to use a brown vinyl ( no risk ruining the paint work) but if you want to make a belt more accurate, you must use white vinyl.

Looking forward to seeing more on this -- especially the Supertrooper version. ;) I'm scheming my own take on an ESB version build. That is, I'm using this and your other thread as heavy inspiration, but seeing if an idea I had works as an alternative to how you constructed them. I'll post up what I come up with so you can judge its merits. :)

Just to clarify, the templates and measurements for the blocks are the measurements just for the inner blocks, not including the material thickness of the layers of wrapped leather? Is that correct?

So the final belt pouch will be 4-5mm thicker in all directions due to material thickness?

The measurements of the main body contains the leather thickness too, so if you want to make a block from whatever material, you should decrease the values accordingly with the leather thickness.

Hi all,

I apologize for my long absence. Some family obligations helded me far away from the board.
Now that things became again more quiet, i expect to post more regularly.
you all missed me.

Welcome back! Real life (especially the family) is more important than some nerds on a nerd forum. It is great to hear that everything is well now!

Thank you fo rthe Supertrooper. :) To let you know roughly how much all this means to me... I'm currently making a heavily-ESB-inspired ammo belt and pouches for my Fenn Shysa build, I'm now starting on two Supertrooper sets for myself and a friend, and -- also for him -- I'm preparing to do a PP2 version for his PP2 Boba.

All of them I'm making out of kidskin, with slight alterations to your templates, since I'm working with actual leather. Double thickness, it's the perfect 3mm/.125" thick. It would all still have been possible without your efforts here, but would have probably been a lot more frustrating, and taken me many more years to complete to my satisfaction. Thank you so very much for sharing all this with the community. :)
