I saw this at midnight with Batninja and we had a blast. But I'm pretty sure it was more the company and event than it was the film.
I have to say George's prequel like fingerprints were all over this one. Some of the dialog rivaled AOTC, which if there's any question, is NOT a compliment. If you let this movie stand on it's own and don't call it Indy, sure it beats the snot out of SST2.
Shia isn't near as bad an actor as this film made him appear. I've seem him in at least two other films (I love Transformers) where he was 100 times the actor he was in this one. Hayden Christensen got the same thing. In AOTC, I was seriously disturbed by what I thought were his abilities. Then I saw him in Life as a House and ROTS. Those were better roles, with better dialog and I enjoyed his performance so much more.
Just call this film Henry Jones, Jr. instead of Indiana and you might be ok.
