I believe the PP2 was used for the 3 3/4 and 12" figures and their respected cardbacks. PP1 and PP2 are somewhat similar.

No, they used the Pre-Pro #1 v1 as the primary model, then adapted some of the details from the v2 and possibly the Pre-Pro #2:

Also this version of the PP1 suit had no decals or killstripe.

that's a pretty cool picture! Everything from the supertrooper white stripes on the boots to the prototype ewok in the background.

Just realized 4 years later that I’ve been in the building that was ILM in San Rafael at 3160 Kerner lol... we used to workout there during my fire academy! It is now a baseball batting cages and training facility with a small gym.

After some thought, I've decided to change this book to incorporate the history of the entire costume. New WIP cover and screen shots. Haven't edited all the text yet, so don't read too much into it. I'm still waiting on a couple more books to arrive so that I can do more research. Please feel free to add additional details and corrections!!
