The right side of the band is finished. That means we'll move on to the front of the helmet.

I have finished the left side of the brow area above the visor cutout. I love working on Fett's face!

I finished the upper half of the right mandible. Whew! So much detail. I'm including my traditional collage of how I build the detail working topically.

Ear detailing is in progress. I use Vallejo Model Air flat black for the arch. It airbrushes like silk.

I finished the RF ear cap tonight. I've done so many SE buckets recently, it's nice to add the "T" marking for a change!

Here's the freshly finished left ear.
All the ears I use on my commissions are farm raised, and have long and fulfilling lives. Right up until the time they're harvested.

The RF assembly is weathered. A few chips on the topper and some rust spots on the stalk.

Starting the final weathering stages by adding some grease stains on the dome.
I source my grease from the fat of Emperor penguins, just like on the original helmet. Authenticity!
