Your rear panels always amaze me , and how you can not go cross eyed laying them down. And the cat scratch is one my favorite details as well.

Here's the cat scratch! To me, this is one of the most interesting features of the ESB helmet and it's a lot of fun to paint.

I finished the turn signal area. Now it's on to the dent!

We've got a dent! This is my number one favorite feature to paint.

There's a good amount of damage on the top of the dome. I don't think this area of the helmet gets the kind of love it deserves.
All you Fett costumers out there, bend down a little bit sometimes to show off this part!

Killstripes! A nice splash of color after days of gray and silver.
Next I'll work on the remaining damage on the left side of the dome.

Moving on to the cheeks. I have blocked in the dark color on the outer cheeks. I use the soft tail of a Himalayan kitten to paint this color on. . . Just want to see who reads my descriptions.

I finished the right cheek this evening. There isn't too much damage on this side, but the left cheek will make up for it.

Red time! This is D&H Caboose Red from Archive-X and it's amazing for the ESB helmet.

So are you doing a mixture of layered and topical?

I do most of the work topically. The only part that's layered are the two main colors (beige and dark green) on the back panels.

I finished the center section of the red band. All that nice clean red is slowly disappearing!
