*SPOILERS* The Book of Boba Fett Discussion

Agreed with most I read here, this episode was great! Now having Mando and Boba tearing up the Mayor with a Rancor and a bloody N1 fighter... Omg and a BD unit... I'm in! Totally fine with this being a Mando episode as long as we also get plenty of Boba on Mando s3... And I think we will :) praise to Bryce <3

Amazing episode, loved everything about it except it crystallized the fact that the showrunners know how to make a good episode and then just choose not to for most of the series so far. I could rewatch this episode over and over, but fett on his own show gets no effort for some reason.

I get the world building thing, but again, you can't give me 7 episodes and expect me to love it after spending 4 episodes farting around. It's a short series, try hard from the get go, not on just the last couple!

BDH is simply phenomenal.

Loved the episode.

Hope they saved some budget for the rest of the season because this episode clearly burned a lot more cash than the first four!

One major question this episode answered for me, that I’d been puzzled about… was why bo kataan said she couldn’t accept the darksaber from mando without fighting him… while in the clone wars, she accepted it without any fighting whatsoever, from ahksano.

Really happy with the way they explained it.

And, as much as I love that mando has a sweet starfighter now… Man, it’s sure going to be a pain in the butt for him to go any real distance now.

No bathroom, no place to transport a bounty, no place for cargo/storage/supplies…

Would be nice if he ends up getting a transport that his starfighter can fit into.

*facepalm*
And here I am… more excited talking about mando, then boba.

Say it along with me... world... building... ;)

Mando lost the Razor Crest. Obviously a bounty hunter crossing space on a starliner every episode would get old real quick.

They had to answer a question or two before he got to helping Boba fight the Pykes.

It gets back to what was discussed earlier. Do we just have Mando show up in a shiny new ship and not say anything about it, or do we show how it occurred. Which they did. It's the same as Boba's new backstory. How did he get out of the Sarlacc? How did he get his ship back? How did he just tear apart an entire Stormtrooper platoon... with a big stick? :)

Just different parts of the Star Wars puzzle that reveal the whole picture.

The episode with Asoka was very similar, an inbetween episode that focused almost entirely on a different character, and then furthered the plot.

I was against the Naboo starfighter idea... but... it kind of works. Not as roomy as the Razorcrest though. Kill only bounties from now on I guess. :)
That Droid slot conversion to a small passenger area is quite convenient. *Cough* Grogu *Cough*!

Agreed. My wife and I pointed this out as well while we were watching this episode.

All in all, this was a great episode. The Naboo starfighter as his new ship and the fact that the dark saber seemed to weigh about 50 pounds were my only major complaints with the episode. The darksaber as literally been used by multiple people on screen and not one of them had any issues. However, NOW all of a sudden grown adults who are perceived to be incredibly strong can't wield it? Freaking even in The Mandalorian Moff Gideon has no issues attacking with and using the darksaber. He wields it like a semi-professional but now neither Mando nor Paz could use it like a normal sword? What is this, a light saber version of a buster sword for no reason?

Sabine in Rebels had issue wielding it effectively as well, until Kanan got her to break through her personal emotional "wall."

Nobody really knows what "baggage" comes from the Darksaber. Just because a Jedi could easily wield it through their connection to the force, maybe there's somethin... more... needed for a non-practitioner to be effective?

There's the unspoken "baggage" as well, relating to (paraphrasing) being the savior of Mandalore and symbol of all your remaining people. That's a lot of weight to carry. :) But this is all just theory. :)

True. Sabine did have a difficult time learning to use is properly and does comment that the dark saber is "heavier" than she thought but it isn't so heavy that she literally drags it across the ground or throws her body all over the place to even swing it - she uses it just "fine" and is able to swing it like a proper sword. She just had difficulty doing so as she is learning completely new techniques. Paz is a dude literally three times her size and he wields it in the show like it weighs a TON - can barely lift it, throws his body all over the place, even hunches over while trying to lift it with both hands.

Sure in Rebels Sabine later also mentions the dark saber feels "lighter" but how she had previously used it gives no indication to it being incredibly heavy with how the scene is animated.

Also - Darth Maul uses the dark saber just fine with no previous connection the dark saber. That being said, this is a minor nitpick from on overall good episode but consistency/continuity would be nice as right now it seems like they just made it so heavy for Din to use and Paz to use for "Reasons"

The differences in translating a fast moving animated scene and a live action one... I guess that's open to the interpretation of the director/actor.

I mean, its not a Darksaber, but Han Solo filleted a Tauntaun with no visible effort. Of course, he didn't go to town on a bunch of gangsters, but...

Re: Maul: Ah, but Maul is a force wielder and I would suggest that through his force training he has an instinctive "feel" for how a light/dark saber can be used. Or so I imagine. :)
