Spicy fett ESB WIP

Well I went ahead and decided to knock out the back panels and I’m just not happy with them at all. Now compared to my first helmet this is way better and more accurate but it’s still just off and the color doesn’t seem right and it’s the same colors I used on my previous helmet so that’s a mystery. But maybe I’m just being to critical

So after taking a long break and feeling like I was “done” with my Fett I kept looking at it day after day on the mannequin and things just looked a bit off and the main thing that was bothering me was the size of the chest armor. I had an extra set of larger sized chest armor which wasn’t accurate to ESB so I decided to modify the dents myself and give it another shot and paint up some new chest pieces. Hopefully the new dents I added look better than the previous ones please feel free to tell me what y’all think and if you think this size will look a little more accurate than the smaller ones already in place!

It's hard to put it down isn't it? I totally know whatcha mean though, yeah the casual Star Wars fan may not see it, but you know its there - and it's buggin' ya! Hehehe! Yep, gotta get it fixed!

For me it really wasn't about perfecting it.....yet, as I'm still doing upgrades - AND working on my daughters Boushh costume! So I'm very much still doing the construction of it all.

Looks really good though!

It’s definitely a bug lol and I honestly don’t see the upgrades stopping anytime soon! I wish I would have taken my time the first go around instead of buying everything I could as quick as possible and rushing literally throwing it together lol

I'd like to think as it was budget as to why most of us have to come back. We buy ourselves better versions and update. It certainly was my excuse. Bought me an El Cheapo Jetpack from Coz3D, but really wanting the Boba Maker JP. But when you weigh $275.00 vs $745.00.....yeah, up front, after JUST getting all of my BM Armor, kind of a hard pill to swallow. But I'll be honest.....I didn't expect much from the Coz3D Jetpack and was really blown away with how good it looked when I was finished. It actually became my favorite thing I worked on for my costume - had a blast putting it together and painting it up!

Same with my AprilStormProps EE-3 Blaster, for me, a temporary solution - till I could get around to grabbing me a Sidewinder version. Both as you know I've purchased - got the BM JP (and started work on it) and then ordered my Sidewinder EE-3 in December, should be getting it in March!

An expensive but really fun hobby! (Thank god I don't drink or smoke) I totally thought I'd build my ROTJ Fett and then be done. But I just can't stay away! In short, I'm addicted.

So I’ve been back at it again and this time I’m actually using stencils and taking my time like I should have the first time around.. I got the primer laid down a few days ago and then the silver! Last night I finished the stenciling and will be masking things off later today to get the base green down, after that I will be topically painting on the yellow!

Well I got the right plate almost done!

I think the main issue is since I’m having my lineage cast helmet being commissioned and it’s turning out amazing I have to really step up my game with painting because I am going to join the 501st one way or another lol and I’m a bit of a perfectionist when I put my mind to something and I want this armor set to come out the best I can possibly do so it’s definitely a pain lol

So I did break down and decided to get someone more qualified than myself to do a proper paint up on my lineage cast helmet and here are some pics of the progress so far! All I can say is I’m more than stoked!

Did some painting on the left armor plate this weekend. I decided to hand paint this on rather than layering it in.
