Spicy fett ESB WIP

Well guys here it is all done! My son about lost it when he saw me finally get it all on!! Now my wife is still learning to help me put it on and I have to figure out how to stop my jetpack harness from chocking the life out of me haha

Yeah when I got it all on my Daughter went nuts too!
:)

I can get about 95% suited up myself, I do need help with the Back Armor and Jetpack. (That’s where my wife comes in ;))

Now, as for the MoW Jetpack Harness, mine also chokes me too. I had thought about using a couple of sewn patches of Velcro on the harness and Flightsuit to keep it in place. I may try that and see how it goes. Once completed, I’ll letcha know how it works.

Regards,
-Iron

Me and my best friend who is doing an ESB Vader finally got dressed up and took a few pics!! He is using his cheaper cape because his other one from anovos is stupid heavy lol

Just finished my EE3 blaster! I went the cheaper rout and got a 3D printed one and tried to fix it up the best I could and I think it came out alright. Will definitely be upgrading to a sidewinder kit when my finances get back in order after boba fett taking a huge chunk out of my funds lol (I’m amazed my wife didn’t kill me).

Exactly!! I was actually telling my wife the other night that I’m actually more bummed than excited that I’m about at the end of my journey of becoming boba fett and she said why don’t you do the other one ya know the one with the red wrist things you don’t like as much I don’t think she understands what she is implying by saying that lol honestly I am thinking about it but I don’t know if I can handle spending that much money again

I got all suited up again today and took a few pictures!

Dude that looks amazing! Your suit looks great as well, very well done man. I can't wait to do a full suit up myself, slowly getting there. I look forward to seeing more pics of your build, Boba's are never done. Always upgrading lol

So after a lot of thought I decided my first helmet wasn’t going to cut it. Now I do love it and it means a lot to me being the fist piece I’ve ever painted.. I just think now I can do better and I want to be more accurate than before. So I decided to take my “lineage” casting helmet and clean it up and give it a nice coat of paint. Right now I’m still working on trying to restore the helmet to it’s original glory and here’s where I’m at. Huge thanks to Ordmantell for giving me the inspiration to do this and honestly if it turns out half as good as yours I’m on the right track! So here is where I’m at after cleaning up a lot of the damage like the broken left brow. It is wet in the pictures because I just rinsed it off after cutting out the visor

Alright well I got it about where I want it so I decided to put on a coat or two of primer then a gloss black and last but not least I used a cheaper alternative to alumiluster and I actually love the way it came out! Supposedly this paint is very scratch resistant and doesn’t need a clear coat.. not sure how much I believe that but I’m down to give it a shot!

I watched the guy who formulated duralumin through out his whole process on the Iron Man builders forum about a year ago. It was a real treat. Just a guy who wanted something awsome and made it in his garage and started his own company. It was so cool to watch it build from the ground up and there is a record on the Facebook page of all of his posts and trails and errors. Really cool. I'm glad to see his product over here too.
I have printed all of my Djin armor and have been wondering what I'm gonna paint it with as alumaluster is stupid expensive if you aren't batch painting helmets and armor to sell. I forgot about duralumen and now I think I know what I will use!

Thanks man! That’s pretty awesome ya it was super easy to use and not a lot of prep work and I’m glad I posted this! If you do go with this I know you’ll be pleased with the results it is pretty damn durable and the smoother the surface the nicer it comes out and my fett helmet wasn’t exactly smooth due to it having a lot of the original paint details left on it from being a lineage casting.

You're a much braver man making those cuts than I am!
It’s actually one of my favorite parts! Although this time I didn’t use a dremel and instead used a oscillating tool which worked really well but was quite nerve racking lol now I’m just waiting so the silver paint can get a nice cure before I start the whole painting process. I haven’t decided if I want to paint new ears or use the ones on my old helmet. Since I’m using a new base silver/chrome I probably should paint the ears that way it looks more uniform I suppose
