ROTJ Boba Fett Build Thread - the journey begins ....

should I go back and try to make the caboots work? Or start over from square 1 - I dont want to invest more time and money in something that 501st isn't going to accept

IMO, I don’t think so. With all the things wrong with the MOW boots, the caboots are more wrong. Based on the photos of the MOW boots you posted on the other thread, they don’t look too bad. I think they are salvageable.

Totally agree with the others, while not ideal and all things considered, the MoW Boots are (as ShortFuse put it), salvageable. I think you'll be surprised at how much a little paint, weathering and adding in toe spikes will bring them.

Additionally, great start to the Jetpack!

Help me with my BOBA MAKER jump suit, it's about 5 inches too long. (???) but the inseam is right?

I feel like I gave him the wrong measurements, but I dont know what wrong measurements I gave him. What are you seeing visually where it hits me

Yea it looks like the legs are too long and because of that the thigh and shin pockets are placed much lower.
You can see on your other suit the leg stops around the ankle and the thigh pouches are much higher closer to the crotch of the suit.
Any particular reason why you didn't like your first suit? Looks like it fit you really well, just curious!

A tailor/seamstress would be able to modify your new boba maker suit. You could have them shorten the legs and move the pockets up higher.
Just be particular explaining how it needs to be and the ankle stitching ect
I moved my thigh pouches up and it wasn't too painful of a process

Like lowberg said, I think that the legs are too long by 3-4". Luckily, both the shin tool pockets and the thigh pouches are also too low. This means that all you should have to do is alter the the groin area to bring the entirety of the legs up. If it were me, I would also tighten up the legs by turning the flightsuit inside out and sewing a new seam line 0.5" from the current seam on both sides of each leg. I would alter the groin area first though.

This situation is a little bit easier because you won't have to remove any pouches / pockets and re-attach them.

Ok yes, so the ETSY jumpsuit fits, I was nervous about putting a bunch of time into it worried that 501st would not accept it, which is why I opted for the boba maker jumpsuit.

Thank you BOBA FETT family
