RF Servo Unit *ANY MORE INTEREST?*

I want one. Wired with lights and all. Also the least amount of work I have to do to it once I get it the better so if there is an option of having it all put together I will take that.

That would appear to be 2 interested already. Sheesh! just when I thought I could put my feet up

They are Sooooooo easy to put together. They come with all the greeblies and doo dads attached to the wires. All you have to do (aside from mounting it in your own bucket) to connect it together is push the plugs onto the pins mounted on the side of the PCB. I'm sure I could do that for you before I shipped it if you wanted ;)

Could you (and anyone else interested) confirm if you want the Servo that this guy provides, or not.

Cheers

Si

Yes I want what ever you are selling. I don't have any peices of my own, nor do I want to go find more stuff. I forgot to mention I want the "scaning" lights as described at the begining on this thread.

That is a little out of my price range at the moment unfortunately. How long can I wait to get one?

I felt a little stupid asking but I have not been hear in a while. My eyes have gone weird on me when I am on the computer so I tried to stay off for a while. But I have glasses now so hopefully I can stay on top of things around hear. Thanks for the info.If they are available in a couple of months I will try and buy one of the kits. Thanks again.

Hey PV. No need to feel stupid at all. Sorry to hear about your eyes, man. No offence intended. Glad to hear you got it sorted out. Same thing happened to me a while back. Kept getting kind of blurry after more than an hour at a screen, tunred out I needed glasses just for computer work.

These things will be available indefinitely (unless the company goes under). There will be a link to a web page from which you can order individually direct from the maker soon (I'll post the link as soon as he sends it to me). Prices might be a bit higher, but he'll keep them as low as he can.

That's grate. I really want to get one of the kits. my glasses are just for working on the computer as well. Problem is it is hard to get used to them. Thanks again.

I'm interested :D
How much for a wired, AA's, LEDs, switchwire made?
Thanks HH, this is just what my Helmet Needs :)
Oh yeah, with servo.
LMK PM or just Post.
Thanks again!

No worries, Mirax. Got you covered one way or the other. There are a few more interested so I think I could cobble together another run.

Remember, they can be had w/out servo. it saves $10 and means you can source your own smaller servo like DPR. Just make sure it's compatible first.

LMK when you're ready and I'll see about a run and get definite interest/payment etc from all those who have expressed an interest in this thread and via PM.

Sorry for the delay in responding Robert.

The speed is controlled by the PCB and cannot be changed. It takes approx 2 secs to get from one position to the other (See the AVI clips near the top of the thread).

I'm not a servo expert, but what I would say is that the servo that the unit was designed with is a Futaba 3003. There's a pic of it next to a ruler near the top of the thread to give you an idea of the size of it.

Best thing would be if an expert in such matters here was able to let you know, or if not, mail Tower hobbies and ask if the one you've linked to is Futaba 3003 compatible.

LMK if you want the unit without the servo. There are a few others interested so I think we can pull a run together. ;)

It's ok. I send an email to verify about this if the servo I showed you is compatible. Now, I know you're not the expert about this kind of stuff ( as I understand what you're saying), is there a way that the PCB could be tweaked in some way that the servo could work faster (i.e. less than a second or about just a second from the up to town position?

Let me know if you could find the answer to this...that way I could plan to do another run for the servo kits.

Robert

I know the speed is governed by the programming on the chip in the PCB. To change the speed will mean it has to be re-programmed.

I have asked the guy who makes them if this is possible as a one off. I shall let you know what the answer is as soon as I get it.

Hey Gang,

This whole thread confuses the hell out of me. I know absolutely nothing about all of this electronic mumbo-jumbo, but I want to purchase one of these in wireless/AA/with servo/with LEDs. (At least that's what I think I want to purchase?!) If someone could e-mail me or PM me that would be great! Thanks! :D
