Changed my blog to jonathanpezzatta.blogspot.com (professors recommended the change) but still has the same stuff. I am adding new projects that I will post progress on so if anyone wants to spread the word I would love more internet traffic in there!
Here is an update on this picture I have been working on. I am a bit embarrassed to post it here next to the masterpieces in this thread. I learned a few things about oil painting though, and I know not to use the canvas I used for the next one. I will be going to the tablet/ boards next time.
Anyway the picture is mostly laid out now and I can start detailing it. I am always happy to get tips on how to execute details on this
My best art yet
10 layers of stuff in photoshop and over 10 hours work
"You and I are very different. I mean... besides the obvious, you are a little flower and I am the most powerful Digimon on two worlds. I-I mean... you are alive and I am just artificial. You have real feelings and I can only imagine it.. Like I imagine this pain in my heart!. *squishes flower* Why should I care if a tiny flower lives or dies?! Who cares?! All I want to know is... what is this empty feeling inside of me coming from? If I am not a true living creature.. why does my heart ache?... when the truth is... my heart doesn't even exist..."- Black WarGreymon Digimon Adventure 02 episode 32 'If only I had a heart'
Here are a couple of pictures I made this weekend using my ipad and no stylus, just my finger. I wanted to get the ProCreate app, but I only have an ipad 1, so I did these in the Sketchbook X app. I suppose there are things I could have done better, but this is the first time I have ever really drawn anything on an iPad, and second time I have ever really tried to work in a digital medium at all.
During the Thanksgiving break, our dog Bowzer was killed by a coyote in San Diego.
I commissioned my friend to make this memorial painting for my wife for her Christmas present this year. I think it turned out really well. The banner is just a rough, he is going to properly align it etc before I get it.
