Nick Skylar ( snoopyiswatchin ) has produced absolutely incredible replicas of the Everoak chin straps for the community. He's having some issues posting the information here on TDH because of a glitch with his account, but hopefully he can get that sorted and post his information on here soon. They are stunning. These look like you bought them fresh off the shelf from 1978, down to an exact replica of the box!

He has a post over at Boba Fett Builders to read in the meantime.

Here are some shots of the Everoak replica by Nick.

This is what Everoak intended them to be used for... added safety for equestrian helmets...

Even the box is perfectly replicated...

I'll install a set into my old MCR bucket since my MF lids are still out being painted...

11mm punch with size #1 C.S. Osborne rolled rim with spur grommets, same as before with the other straps and the flak vest...

Left side requires the added Z bracket...

Time for a few updates here.

In the homestretch of this build! Back in late September I started painting my final armor, but switched back to finishing my final gauntlets. got those done, then the holidays hit, but as soon as I was able to get the Xmas lights back down, I was back in the shed with my trusty old Paasche H. Everything on this paint job is vintage Floquil paint, unlike my tests which was a variety of Floquil and archive X.

I got out the old test armor from two years ago to remind me what went right and wrong last time.

I'll take more pictures when I get a chance. I next need to weather my new shin tools and then all is left for this build is to re-assemble the costume back onto the mannequin... and wait for my helmet commission to come back -- then this crazy journey will be over.
