I'm going to mix some light browns, dark browns and some blacks.

Looking pretty cool. I can't wait to see it weathered up a bit. Too clean! I've been following your BF's Jango progress and am digging it. Did watching him go through it make you want one for yourself? Welcome to the sickness once you start this it's hard to slow down.

Thanks man. Yeah I can't wait to weather it. I have been watching/helping Phil, it looks like a lot of fun!! He talked me into starting a a Fem Mando and promised me I could paint it pink so I was all about it. Its a good use of my time. I love doing it!

couldn't resist the pinstripes! hand painted some metal scratches. Hitting it with a clear coat tomw then weathering. Done for the night.

edit: ok i saw you said youd cut the piece out. is the visor long enough ie: its behind that piece?

Something you may wanna consider when applying the topical weathering is using an artists sponge to create a scuffed effect. I found that with topical weathering, it looks much more realistic then trying to hand paint it on.

Yeah, I ordered the Bobamaker visor and hardware so it fits the dp96 perfectly. I just wanted to wait to put it in last.

Thanks! I do plan to do the weathering with a sponge and wipe away the excess method. I plan to finish it up tonight so hopefully I will have some pics to post.

here's the one I did for mrs.slave1pilot last year
It's Hot Pink on the visor parts
Black on the upper cheeks & back
and Charcoal Grey Metallic on the dome & Lower cheeks
Still need to weather it with some washes
(& finish the rest of the costume)

Actually, I do use Luckys decals on my chest & shoulders
i highly recommend them to everyone

When you mentioned the Mythosaur skull, I looked it up to see what variations turned up and I found this:
