Looking for range-finder electronics source (Animefan helmet)

Does anyone currently make range-finder electronics (two blinking red LEDs plus lens LED with tilt switch) that will fit in Animefan's range-finder? I'm scared to add electronics and soldering to the list of new skills I need to build my costume.

I contacted him earlier, but he said wasn't making the self-contained units any more.

I make a kit that fits it, but it needs a hollow rangefinder stalk and an ear piece that can fit the micro switch.

I'm not sure if the Animefan rangefinder stalk qualifies as hollow. It does have a hollow brass rod going through it, but no hole where I would need one in order to pull wires through. And I'm not sure if or where a micro-switch would fit. Which is why a self-contained solution seems preferable.
