Thank you!Hey
Great thread, nice to see it coming together.
You have the link to the Etsy guy that sells the Chest LED stuff?
Agreed!
Lazerjock you are moving forward at quite some pace! Wow. Youre fast.
I also fully support securing the spikes a little bit better. Good call.
Troopability has been very important to me.
With a custom Mando, that is a lot easier of course. It was fun jumping chest to chest quite brutally with some other full metal armored guys at a con.
Imagine the noise pollution that was caused![]()

I was going to buy your LED's, but I am a do it yourself type of person.www.fettronics.com. Order any time! Best price around!
Here is the link to the guy on Etsy, but from what I hear Fettronics is the best around.
Note the Etsy link is just for the programmed Atmel chip and he is in the US. You will need to buy the remaining components and have the boards made too. The remaining electronic components were from Mouser Electronics which is also in the US as well as the board manufacturer. You do the math, but you may be better off ordering a finished unit from Fettronincs and paying shipping for 1 item vs 3 separate shipments. Thanks, yes Fettronics are the best by all accounts and they do look amazing. The problem for us UK folk is postage, sometimes it's nearly the same price as the item!
Well.... now we know... There are certain season-specific parts in a Boba build...I colored my Girth Belt yesterday and let it bake in the Florida sun all day.
This morning when I checked it, it was dry as a bone. No shrinking either.

This is really the next level... I like the effort you are putting into this and sure this is going to be a hit when you will eventually troop. Really cool stuff! The last few days I've been working on my sound system.
It consists of a voice amplifier with a wireless mic, a sound board that I can upload audio clips to and buttons that are mounted on small plastic disks and slid into the finger tips of the gloves.
While prototyping I discovered that the plastic disks move around a lot. I decided to sew the disks to thin tight fitting gloves that would easily fit under the Fett gloves. Now I just need to memorize what is said when I press each button.
The nice thing is I can just unplug the gloves and not wear them if I choose but still have the wireless mic.
Here are the results.
