Well, I never heard back from Art and I tried to call the boot maker Friday, so right now, it's kinda on hold. I haven't given up on it.

Glad to see these are still a possibility. I personally think they look fine the way they are. They are probably the most accurate made yet. I don't see the need to re-invent the wheel so to speak with a new design that could possibly jeopardize the run completely. I would rather get a pair the way they are verses not getting any at all. My 2 cents. :rolleyes

I completely agree. At this point there must be huge demand for boots considering lack of supply. I know you're concerned about integrity but your reference photos from this thread fulfill my expectations without a doubt.

Still tracking this, Wes. If he ever gets back to you, what're the chances of a second pair in all-wite for the SuperTrooper look? I still don't know if I need the other pair of Boba boots yet, though, but there seems to be no rush. Don't worry. I'm patient -- and it gives me more time to expand my costuming budget once more.

Just touching base with this thread...still interested!

My current boots are modded Target boots, which look OK, but they bother me since they are the only "cheapy second rate part" on my entire suit!:facepalm

Evidently, there's a problem with his supplier (of the sole material). He's checking with another supplier and I'll talk with him again on Friday.

I'll be honest, I'm just as frustrated as you. It seems like it's always something. He comes through in the end, it's just getting to the end that's the problem.
