I'm glad to say this project is now completed and ready to be sent to their new owner for finishing and weathering. I tried to come up with an acceptable design in light of the inconsistencies between the comic book and action figure. So I decided to go with a Jango'esque style construction by using a holster top that was wet-formed to the basic shape of the blaster, and would hold it securely despite the channel necessitated by the scope mounts. I considered the idea of attaching a wrap-over strap similar to one I had seen on a Solo holster, but figured that was taking too much liberty on the design.
