Girth Belt Girth Belt Question

I purchased a mohair centaur girth belt and would like to know how people have worked with these in the past via connecting the ends.

Nylon webbing straps.

Cut a strap as long as you need to connect the belt around the waist armor, add about 3 inches and the cut holes for or the pegs on the buckles to fit through. You'll figure it out.

Here's mine. I machine-sewed one side to the buckles, and sharpened the buckle prongs to make it easier for them to poke through the webbing.:
