FP Budget helmet in COLD CAST!

I took some time today to work on my helmet a little. A few weeks ago I killed my palm sand and went out and bought something a little smaller that came with sanding pads in it. It also has one with steel wool on it. What you see took about 5 to 10 minutes. What do you think?

I have an Asok CC Resin Jango and an Asok CC Fiberglass Jango... I'll have to check the PP account, but I will probably be in for one of these soon ;)

Yes I did a few in FG. They turned out okay and to me a lot of work. The other problem is it is just way to cold here in Indiana to make them.

If you were looking to ID them, I know Java over at the clone-empire boards puts some sort of IC ship in the earwell area of his clone helmets. When scanned there is a number that comes up on a reader. He writes that number inside with a sharpie. No one would be able to tell unless they had a scanner though.

Nice looking helmet!!

Recasters beware

For just a little update, I now have the mold for the ear and aluminum power is on it's way! The aluminum range finders are still about 1 to 2 weeks out. Getting closer!

I will be keeping an eye on this thread. I sent you an email stating my interest, but I will chime in here as well! Can't wait to see the whole thing!

@Mr Fett..no they are not heavy at all. They are really the same you just add the CC to the resin on the outer layers.

overall it adds a negligible amount of weight. this helmet is a bit heavier due to the fact that it has more layers of resin involved, it's pretty thick to add strength.
