Hi everyone

Please accept my apologies for the delays. I posted a small update on my announcement thread as well. The following pertains to this thread ..

The only semi bad news is, that when all of my equipment and molds arrived (the rest that were lagging), it took me a few days to notice that the oven/heater built into my vac form system was obliterated  There is a lot of ceramic in the top of the rig, and it was shattered. So I started rebuilding and re-wiring it today. It will be up and running in a few days.
Sure, I was upset, but in the grand plan, I knew it could be fixed, so I didn't lose any sleep over it, as no one here should either ;) Just another little speed bump. But hey, 2100 miles is a long way for a rig like that to travel between two freight companies, it could have been worse  (public display of positive attitude)

The only problem with the vac machine delay is, by the time I have it up and running in a couple/few days, it will almost be time for me to get on a plane for Dallas to attend the Jeremy Bulloch event - as the wife is selflessly insisting that I go :facepalm. I wasn't going to go, but she put me in my place

I received a new plastic shipment too, so it's all ready to go when I return.

The gauntlets are still coming. It was decided that they would be delayed a wee bit longer until after the Jeremy Bulloch event (sorry guys and gals). But the production molds still needed a little bit of that tweaking that I talked about earlier in this thread that I never got around to quite yet. So one more run of armor, and the gauntlets will follow. This time for sure (barring a natural disaster  ).

So that's my news guys and gals. My sincere apologies for not posting an update in the last week or so. I've been losing track of time very easily. I knew the first week or so of my wife's treatment would be a very hectic time keeping appointments (many of them per day) and being educated as we went along, but I suppose I didn't know just how much. It's just been a whirl wind. Everything has finally leveled out, and I am settled in.

There are MANY PM's in my box, so to those tht have sent messages, or even called for that matter, please be assured, you were not being ignored by any means. I've just not been at the computer much, and haven't had time to read through everything and respond yet.

Again, please accept my apologies for the delays. As I said above, everything has finally leveled out. Spring is hear, and I smell hot plastic and fiberglass :cheers

Glad to hear things are on track Chris was starting to worry a little :),

It would be a crime if you were not there to present the costume to Jeremy, you totally deserve it for the amazing work you do for the Fett community

Passing on my regards again (on this thread), I don't want to post on the update thread till every one has seen your last post ;)

That is too bad about your machine...moving does have its tragedies but you can look at the bright side of this...at least you are well and good and getting into your groove ;) I sure wish that I was going to the JB event...new job is keeping me away from this one :facepalm

BEST OF LUCK!!

Hey Chris,

When you get up and running again please shoot me a PM regarding armor and gauntlets.

Congrats on the move, hope you'll be out of boxes soon.

Jon

Hey, I am glad to hear that you made it and congrats on the Jeremy Bulloch project!! I wouldn't pass that up either. But when you get back and everything is back up and running, I would be intrested in those gauntlets I've heard so much about! Also, I could use a back plate and possibly a neck plate as well. My other backplate dosen't have the slits for the jp straps and I totally forgot to add dents in the armor before I painted. But very intrested in the gauntlets, along with everybody else it seems, and just checking out the prices for those armor pieces. PM me when you get a chance and take it easy!! Cheers!

Just clarifying,
Will the guants ship with the next run of armor? Or are you doing a run of armor, and then another run after that w/ gauntlets?

I'd like to get mine shipped at the same time if possible :)... save on shipping

Looks absolutely fantastic, Chris! I hope to get a set of your armor someday.

Welcome to Indiana! (I'm from Northwest Indiana, myself.) :)

Here's hoping you settle in nicely,

Chad
