SHOUTOUT! to derail aka bomagizzle! Thanks to the dented helmet community this man hooked me up with a man of war studios jet pack kit untouched and a gorgeous pair of boots from MOW.

Parts have been trickling in over the last few weeks. The easy part is buying it. Hard part is making it look good.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to find a good paint thread for a jet pack to follow?
Feeing a little under the weather lately so things are a bit slow here. Stay tuned fetts

Finally my cold is over! Back to business. I just bought some new knee armor and darts from redkraydragon. Love the build. Very sturdy.

Also weathered and spiked my boots a little bit. I'm still tinkering with it.

So I'm hoping to have my jetpack completely covered in filler putty and my knees painted this week.

How do you all suggest I mount my knees on my flight suit down the road? Snaps? Velcro? All of the above?

So my armor is about half way done painting. I also just painted my collar studs. How do you all attach your studs with out scratching the paint job?

They will be drying for the night. Then tomorrow they will get some grey and black weathering. Then the shoulder and knees will get some much needed attention. Not gonna lie I'm scared. I hate airbrushing yellow. Finger crossed everyone.

So I made a stupid mistake and didn't look over my armor fully when I painted it and recoat it in time. So now I have to wait another 24 hours to recoat it [emoji23]. Got to have patience with this. But I wanted to see how the collar and back looked with the colored studs. It's the little things that keep me going.

So I am on the fence with my paint job here. Knees are done. Unless I decide to strip it and try again. Taking a poll. What do you all think?

I dont try to make mine to perfect and keep a lot of those defects because I think Boba has to look not perfect. When I painted my shoulders one of them fell down in the dirt and a lot of tiny dirt bits clued one the wet paint and I left them...looks cool and dirty like the OT Star Wars look! [emoji1]

Awesome! Well the last coat of primer and detail putty is on now. And the secret panel is now secured in the back with magnets and washers.

Also will be using the5thhorseman's shin tool tutorial.
Sadly I have to wait for Arkady's flightsuit to arrive in a few months for proper fit before I cut. [emoji27].

Not really a need to wait for flightsuit, unless you want to. The tool's measurements are known, and there are templates.

I have an arkady suit myself (you're gonna love it) I trimmed my tools to the proper specs. One thing some people do is make the 3rd shin tool a little longer so it sticks up more. I'm just gonna stuff some foam into the bottom of my pouch or something.
