looks good so far :D

I suggest darkening the mandibels a bit and smack some of those grey/non silver scratches on and your done.

Looks like crap. Send the helmet to me for destruction. J/K!

Looking good!

How about a few more pics and bigger pics! :)

I just realized how small that pic is. I'll post some large ones tonight.
I had a little too much overspray of black on the front I need to fix...ughhh

Yeah, maybe a little too much black misting in the front. You can try to do an ink wash along with a slighter misting. Another ROTJ bucket:thumbsup:

The inside (or top) of the cheeks seem too light to me...
but other than that its looking good!
:)

From the looks of it, I would say that is the base green and he has not painted the darker green on the upper cheeks yet.

Well... I'm hoping that is the case..

That would be correct.

Thanks for the input guys, I was going to post a pic tonight but I decided to redo the dome. Had too much black mist and just wasn't sitting right with me. So, hopefully more pics of a better dome in a day or 2.

Please keep the suggestions coming!

RBF has a bucket to die for  one of the best ROTJ paint jobs I've seen.....

Ditto the above advice, other that that I love it, nice job!!!! my man!!!!

I dig it!!!

One thing that you can do that I am doing on my bucket that will add lots of detail and quality to the overal "Beat up" look the real one has is adding the actual gouges and scraches that are present in the helmet. I attached a pic showing some examples near the dent. :)

Keep it up!!

 Not sure if I'm ready for that yet

I'll have to practice on some test pieces first.

Oh, and a trick to paint those tiny thin scraches and blemishes... use a sharp colored pencil (white) for the less noticable marks... and use a old paint brush with all but a couple of bristles removed to paint the darker ones.. also works for small detal blemishes wich I will then wipe excess away leaving a slightly discolored spot replicating some of the blemishes on the real helmet.

I dont blame you for not wanting to scratch up your bucket... not quite as easy to fix if you mess up... LOL :) Makes me nervous too, but I always find that its hard to screw up these buckets.

Keep up the good work man!
