custom mandalorians welcome home!!

you did a good job on yours however, i like how on jango you dont see any damage either because he's just that good or because he touches up his armor every-now-and-then. that is the look i am going for.
 
With Jango's armor not showing much apparent damage is probably more because it's straight metal without a paint job. Whether the wearer is good or not at what he does, general wear and tear of something like armor is bound to rub off paint at least at the edges or where the plates would rub up against things like clothes.

Just my 2 cents. But I guess your Mandalorian is well off since he has the time and cash to spend on touching up his armor all the time so it keeps the clean look. ;) That and then you won't have to spend time thinking about what kind of battle damage scheme you might want, heh. It'll be interesting to see how your armor turns out with the colors you've chosen.
 
Hey BelaLugosi, that is very cool :)

Hell I like Black, it's my favourite colour ( or should that be none colour ) so I might just stick with it, but more damage and some different weapon ideas since I only have the great Boba Fett as a refference to Mandorlian weapons and such. :)

 
well thanks for the two cents Resilient. if you think about it it wouldn't be that hard to touch up your own armor. its like if your car got scratched. how many people say <font color="#6600CC">"hey that looks cool right there and it makes my car look used!". i treat my armor the way i treat my car. if its got a scratch then fix it.

...not that battle damage doesn't look cool.
 
True, it wouldn't be hard to do touch ups...depending. Heh, actually I have known a couple people who've said that about minor car damage. -shrugs- By way of armor, a scratch could act as a "hah, I survived this. Think you could do better?" A battle scars kinda thing. Boba seems to think along those lines. That or he's lazy with armor upkeep as long as it's still structurally sound. ;)

Yeah but sometimes too much real battle damage makes it structurally unsound-shattering it into pieces... ;)
 
believe me i know how it goes with battle scars. but i would find someone who hasn't been hit more menacing than someone who has. know what i mean? :evil

I think I'd have to generally agree with that, but I'd also like to point out that battle damage is uber sexy in most cases.
