Brokk

Active Hunter

With my Pre Pro 2 Fett wrapping up, I've debated on what Fett would be next as I want to do one more, and likely my last for a long time. And as it happens to be anniversary of Ep II: AoTC at the time of this post, I'd like to kick off the build thread.

When I was a kid, Ep. 2 AToC solidified my love for Star Wars and was loving the Fett's so much at that age (And still do). With the addition of the Star Wars Bounty Hunter game, Jango had a huge impact on my imagination along with Boba.

Welcome to the party! Looks like we got about 3 maybe 4 active builds going on for Jango right now. Not sure if you're looking for any part suggestions, but I threw a few of my parts below that I am super happy with. The MoW jetpack is decently heavy and looking back a 3d print might have not been a bad option. Lot more prep work for sure though!

Gauntlet - DC Props (facebook)
Boots - Crow Props (website)
Flak Vest - Bobamaker (website)
Gloves - Lands End Womens Navy Blue (amazon)
Z6 - Man of War (website)

Thank you very much for the directions regarding the gauntlets- I used to have a set of DC's for Boba, nice to know he does them for Jango.

Looks good to me! What straps did you go with? I like the detail in the middle on yours way better than the stuff I picked up.

Brant is correct, it's the Dritz brand with a green label

Today I took sometime to focus on the Cruz armor parts I have in hand. They came a bit too weathered in my opinion from the previous owner, easy fix- I really dig the subtle weathering with Jango more. So I went to work with a magic eraser to remove some of the weathering and left a little behind; then went over the pieces again with steel wool 0000.

Knee guards and shin plates have been ordered via Bobamaker.

Working on the helmet- this was previously painted in another color scheme. Adapting it for the build, make is a Jango Cold Cast Linage sculpt from WastedFett.

The colors have been removed carefully, I masked off all the cold cast bordering the color as to not damage or scuff the luster, which was a success.

Helm paint day. Upper cheeks and ears, used Ace Hardware brand Brite Blue in place of Rustoleum Royal blue.

Did you go with 1/8" for the pin stripe? Comparing the your bucket and mine, mine do seems a little thicker, but it may just be placement as well. You have a steady hand to get them that straight, I will be redoing my soon.

Looks amazing!

You want 3/32nds - Cowles Products makes a nice pinstripe tape for it. It was the Cruzer recommendation as well.

Ya they're 1/8", will double check tho. I can't claim the striping was my work- they were already applied. CRL states 1/8", so I'll likely stick to that as I'm hoping to get it approved

Today, I recieved the Westar 34's 3D printed in resin, by Corellia Creations. They're the Big Fred Custom files. Incredibly smooth, almost no clean up to do. Currently researching how I'm going to chrome them.

Also got some slim fit Navy blue leather gloves.

The flight suit arrived, fits nice and the color is great. I put on the Cod and noticed my ankle cuffs sit a bit high- this is my fault for not thinking off it when my data was talked about with Arkady.

HOWEVER, there's a inch and some change in the hem, I'm going to seam rip and drop it as far as I can, and see what happens...I'm hopeful it'll do the job. Probably won't start that till the holsters arrive to be sure there's no effect
