Hi Carole!
I currently have a ROTJ flight suit that was ordered elsewhere. It has the neckseal built in, and it just doesn't fit right. The neckseal is choking me, and the suit is way way too short. I went to 3 different places to get measurements, and no place measured the same.
I had someone extend the bottom a couple of inches, and it's still too short. It sits on top of the shoe instead of the ankle. The first extension caused other problems too. Now the tool pocket is too high and the tools cover the knee plates. Not to mention, I tried to hide the extension with weathering, and over weathered it. I thought of a way to fix, but don't know if it's worth it to do or just get another get another. I was thinking of cutting it where the knee plates are and just have the bottoms remade (fix the length and pockets in one shot. Again... I don't know if it's worth it though and how it would end up looking.
Thoughts? I honestly think that a new suit would be my best bet, but then I'm going to run into measurement issues again. That's my biggest concern with ordering custom soft parts. I have to go to a business to get measurements.
