Ammo belt question

In the middle, near the end I guess, of building my ESB Fett ammo belt, and I'm wondering about the gray hip pouches. It looks like they hang from full loops around the belt in early prepro images, but 501st rules say they hang from tabs from behind via velcro or other method.

What did you do? Thanks.

Esb hang behind the ammo pouches , but I mAy be wrong lol

Behind the belt/pouches is correct. I just have a strip of velco on the pouches and on the back of the pouches.

Hm, so your ammo pouches are fixed and have velcro on the backside where they loop around the belt, and the gray hip pouches have a large tab with velcro as well? Until I go to this point, I assumed the ammo pouches could move around on the belt.

They can. In hindsight I didn't' explain that very well. I have the velcro on the front of the hip pouches and on the back on the ammo pouches. Since the ammo pouches can slide along the belt, they can take the hip pouches with them. If that makes sense.

Ooh, I like that idea. Does a long piece of velcro hold them in groups, or does the cargo pouch velcro hold them in groups? I really like this idea. I was going to just screw mine to the belt.

The hip pouches' velcro holds them together. I put individual strips of velcro on the back of each ammo pouch, so i could move them independently if needed.
