ESB(Now ROTJ!) Progress thread

Just realized my pic above wasn't working, so here it is again as well as my right chest piece with the light's attached. Right after this pic the + and - cables popped free from the lightboard, but the vendor I bought them from is going to be repairing it at only the cost of shipping!

You'll notice I tore off the greebs from the stock. A hair raising experience...

Post wash, greebs reattached.

Looked real enough, someone told me they didn't want me waving a gun around, had to show them it was rubber lol.

I think the green looks pretty good. Awesome idea putting a gaunt, armor and helmet outside in the daylight for good comparison between the many shades of green! Looking great so far. Can't wait to see the topical damage going on.

Thanks guys! The armor pieces are for Nighthawk and still need some weathering and what not in certain places, but I'm pleased with the contrast between them. On the EE3 one of the clamps I was using to hold a greeblie down slipped off and scraped a bit of paint off, I still need to fill that spot in, but I am more than happy with how that stock turned out!

Alright, so just a small update. I've been chugging through some heavy struggles in my personal life but I've got the last bits of my kit ordered. I haven't gotten much done on my kit otherwise, just been overwhelmed with life lately.

I'm getting ready to move at the end of this month to Texas to hopefully refresh and rejuvenate and FINALLY finish my suit to hit up my first con.

So... An update without an update, I guess.

Flamethrower looks great. Are you moving to Texas or just moving interstate already here to another town?

Good luck on the move. Thanks for the detailed excel list and the inspiration on the gauntlets. May decide to tackle this myself now. Where did you get your switches and darts for them?

Thanks! :)

I got the switches from Mouser Electronics: MPE106F TE Connectivity Pushbutton Switches, the darts I ordered 3D printed from Toolguy, I think, on Shapeways.

Hi! Is that the RKD V3 armor? Also, what materials are you using to weather your boots? Thank you!

Yes that's the RKD v3 armor, for reference I'm just about 5'9" around 135 lbs in that image. For the boots I used tamiya black acrylic airbrush paint and some chalk pastels. I've since weathered them a bit more.
