Wrist rocket Q's

Quick question about the rocket on the left gauntlet of the Boba / Jango costumes. Would the armature from a motorcycle starter work for the center of the rocket? I have attatched a pic of one such creature. Was also thinking about getting a brass reducer at the home depot and grind it down for the tip.

looks too short to me. but depends on how acurate you want to get.

If the goal is 501st approval then no, that wouldn't work. It's too short, and the overall details aren't right. If the costume is just for fun, it seems like it could be a potential stand in for the rocket.
